After leaving their echo bond open, Seph asks Hayden to help her gain experience for their fake relationship.

* Seph insists they keep the echo bond open, claiming it will help make their fake relationship more convincing.
* Worried her inexperience will expose their scheme, Seph proposes that she and Hayden have sex.
* Hayden refuses to sleep with her for the sake of appearances but agrees to help her explore her sexuality.
* Through the echo bond, Hayden guides Seph as she touches herself.
* Back on Olympus, their first public date at the botanical garden turns tense.
* Seph brings Hayden to the greenhouse, the one place on Olympus where she can escape her mother’s expectations and truly be herself.
* Their “research” becomes intimate as Hayden helps Seph explore pleasure before they finally sleep together.
* The next day, Lyra publishes an article accusing them of staging the relationship for their own benefit.
* Desperate to prove their relationship is real, Seph publicly reveals that she and Hayden slept together—betraying his trust.
* Heartbroken, Hayden closes the echo bond and tells Seph to stay out of the Underworld—and out of his head.
